About

Our mission is to increase the amount of valuable land that is conserved in the United States every year. We strive to save America's beautiful natural landscapes, restore our wildlife populations, preserve valuable land around urban and coastal areas, secure sustainable agricultural lands, and conserve important land that helps reduce the negative effects of climate change.

Current governmental programs are not enough to achieve these goals. The "net" amount of land conserved per year in the United States is a prime example of our shortcomings (see Problem tab). We believe that a public-private partnership is the answer. We must mobilize the power of the capital markets, but also regulate this effort to achieve the maximum ecological and societal benefit. Our goal is to enact legislation that incentivizes private investment to achieve significant conservation outcomes.
